Lois Carter Fay is a marketing strategist and a nationally accredited public relations professional who has been self-employed since 1990. She is the author or co-author of several ebooks, Secrets of the Softer Side of Selling, 52 Ready-to-Go Sales Meetings: 52 Ways to Help Your Salespeople and Yourself Win at the Game of Sales, Marketing Plan Essentials: Online & Off, Business Success Tactics: Hardworking Tactics & Resources and others. She is currently working on another ebook, Success Secrets of Women Entrepreneurs, comprised of 30+ profiles of very successful women business owners. Lois is a past president for two chapters of the National Association of Women Business Owners and a past state president for Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs. She also served as an elected delegate to the 1995 White House Conference on Small Business.
Lois is an award-winning, full-service public relations and marketing communications specialist with nearly 30 years of experience as a account executive, writer, media manager and public speaker, working with a wide range of clients, from small, local businesses to large, international firms.
Her public relations efforts have resulted in the placement of numerous features and news briefs with local, regional and national media, including the cover of Inc. magazine and a feature story in Southern Living magazine. Lois is also a newsletter editor, designer and writer; brochure and direct-mail writer; magazine columnist; and the author of business-related features that have appeared in such publications as the (Newport News, Virginia) Daily Press and Milwaukee Sentinel newspapers, Virginia Business magazine, Technology Virginia, Inside Business, and The Small Business Times. Lois holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Lois writes a weekly email newsletter, Brainy Tidbits, which is available free. She has been studying and implementing internet marketing strategies in her business since 2001 and now offers consultation to clients on these topics.
Lois and her husband/partner, Don Crawford, live in the beautiful Shenadoah Valley of Virginia with the youngest their four children, Nessa, and Nessa's new baby, Amelia. Her household also includes a dog and three fish. Daughter Erin is a patent attorney with a law firm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Abbi, the oldest, is a former elementary school teacher, Mary Kay consultant and full-time mom. She and her husband Brian are the parents of Madeline Rose, Don and Lois' first grandchild.
