I have to say I found this one kind of "ho-hum." Each short article is written by someone of importance, like U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein and Jill J. Norris of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, but none of the ideas were revolutionary to me. They advocated getting politically involved, working to promote and support your favorite cause, and investing in women-owned businesses worldwide. The best thing about the book is the terrific list of websites and resources in the Endnotes and Resources sections.

This is one of the best books on how to adopt a child that I have ever seen. The author explains all the steps, from deciding if you are ready to adopt a child to the resources available and how to adopt internationally. She also talks what you should consider legally, what to consider if you decide to write the "dear birth mother" letter, how to pay for your adoption, and lots of other facts and figures. If you're planning to adopt, this is a book you should read.
