. Smell the Coffee...
It's good to have friends. Last week I spent a terrific night
with my friends Betsy Krome and Thayer Cory. We had dinner at
Giuseppi's in Williamsburg (Yum!) and then I spent the night
at Betsy's house before going to the SMPS meeting to present
a seminar. It was lovely. And the seminar was okay, too.
This week my online friend, Lynn Terry, who produces the
Self-Starters Weekly Tip ezine and hosts an e-business forum
at her site, helped me
get my forum installed and going. She
installed it in just a
few minutes. It would have taken me hours
(perhaps days) to
figure it out! Thanks, Lynn.
I'm a member of the board for the local March of Dimes chapter.
Today is "Prematurity Awareness Day" and we're hosting a special
event at Valley Mall in Harrisonburg. If you live in the area,
please stop by from 5-7 pm. Wear pink and blue and bring your
dimes. We're striving for a "Mile of Dimes."
Did you know that one of every eight babies in the U.S. is born
prematurely, some so tiny they can't even cry? More than 460,000
babies are born prematurely each year, some so small that their
lives hang in the balance. In nearly half of these cases, no one
know why. Premature birth is a leading cause of newborn deaths.
No one is working harder than the March of Dimes to find out why
babies are born too soon. Please support March of Dimes research
to find the causes of premature birth. Donate your dimes (and
quarters and dollars and more) to this good cause.

connect with families of premature babies, and support the call
for research. Or just click to say you care.
