3-Layer Mint Brownies

First Layer :
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 stick of butter
Beat until smooth. Add:
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Mix well. Add:
1 can (large size) Hershey's Syrup.
Pour onto a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Second Layer:
1 stick butter
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 & 1/2 teaspoon pepermint extract
Green food coloring
Mix and spread on cooled brownies.
Third Layer:
1 stick butter
1 small package chocolate chips
Melt, cool, pour over mint layer. Refrigerate to set. Cut into one-inch squares (very rich!).
Note: brownies must be refrigerated or they tend to melt.
